The objective of this project was to design a regional magazine for San Diego that celebrated the city’s life and culture. I created SanD Magazine, focusing on surfing as a defining element of the local lifestyle. The featured article spotlights renowned surfer Rob Machado, with layouts designed to convey movement and high energy through dynamic image cropping, creative composition, and subtle 3-D photographic effects. In addition to the article spreads, I designed the Editor’s page and an advertisement for a local surf shop, each echoing the same sense of motion and vibrancy present throughout the magazine.
